When I Walk The Streets Of Gold
- When at last I sleep the sleep of death;
- Morn thou not o'er me.
- For I will have set my ship
- Upon a brightly shinning sea.
- Pain and sickness I leave behind.
- Sorrow I shall feel no more
- When I reach my new destination
- And embark upon that golden shore
- Darkness there shall ne're prevail;
- Troubles there will be none.
- Joy and light will always be,
- From sun to shinning sun.
- Cast not thine tears of grief,
- O'er this now empty grave;
- For death is but a hollow victory.
- Through grace, God my soul did save.
- Though to dust my body must yeild;
- The sleep of death my soul did set free,
- To walk the streets of gold
- Throughout eternity.
